After a day of sightseeing, the Hotel Casci was so nice to come home to. The staff was excellent and so helpful. We felt like we were staying with family. We also liked that they were able to accommodate a family of four in one room which was quite large and comfortable. The location was perfect, just walk out the door and you're in the heart of Florence. You can walk everywhere which was so nice especially because we were only there two days. We could do some sightseeing, come back for a while and then head out for dinner. If your looking for a luxury hotel, this isn't the right place, but if want a great location, great service and a family atmosphere Hotel Casci is perfect.
Great location, helpful owners, clean and comfortable room.
The location was great..minutes to all the Florence attractions. The Tourist office is two doors down, and many cafes in the area. The reception area is sort of "shabby chic" but the "reception" itself was great. The entire staff was extremely helpful. We had an accident just before arriving, and were a little handicapped; they went out of there was to accommodate us. Even .."served" my husband the buffet breakfast...which was substantial..eggs and ham and many many pastries...not just the usual continental. They have many english books in the lobby to take. The manager raced own three flights of stairs with our luggage for the Taxi as the lift is small. They gave us a warm Italian welcome and good beginning to our trip...Grazie!
Lovely hotel, spacious rooms with superb bathroom facilities, very clean and friendly, helpful staff. Breakfast was good with specialty coffee drinks. This hotel is in an excellent location for sightseeing, shopping and general walking around Florence,
Staff very helpful, good breakfast, location amazing.
Forget it if you're older or disabled.
Superb, friendly service from the moment you arrive. Extremely helpful multi-lingual staff and very comfortable rooms with absolutely no street noise intruding at night. This place has a great reputation and I think it is entirely deserved. Highest recommendation!
The location is ideal. Very close to the main train station and all the tourist attractions, eg Duomo, Accademia and Uffizi Galeries. Also close to many eateries.
It is rather pricey for a 2 star hotel. It is really a 2 star hotel in the sense that it is a very basic, no frills hotel, which is located on the 2nd floor of the building. Bathroom is so small, a bit of a squeeze for the 4 of us.
The hotel is in an ideal location for all the main sites in Florence and only 15 minutes walk from the railway station. The room we had was spotlessly clean. The staff are extremely friendly and helpful. They gave us a good restaurant recommendation and booked the table for us. They also pre-booked Uffizi tickets for us. There was a very good choice at breakfast. I would certainly recommend this hotel and would stay again if visiting Florence.
The location was fantastic, close to the train station and most major attractions yet in a quiet historical area.
I loved the staff at Hotel Casci. They were kind and knowledgeable and very helpful in giving advice on area sites and with answering all my questions. The breakfast was also good. The use of the free internet was a huge bonus.
You could tell it was a family run business and everyone seemed to really care about you. Warm, smiling faces. No problem too big. Great location. It has a lift. Bathrooms nice and spacious. What's not to like!
Pierre was the most accomodating clerk/consierege. He was welcoming and provided us with information and reservations. The hotel's location is perfect....close enough to the Duomo and other sights without all the commotion of crowds. The AM buffet was adequate and kept well stocked.
The staff is very friendly and helpful. They gave us directions and called for reservations or taxis when needed. It was nice to have the DVD player in the room with free movies. The location was very good.
It seems a little old and outdated. Im sure that could be part of the charm. However, I believe the price was a little high for the facilities. But maybe you are paying for location? I think since this is a family run hotel, the breakfast could be a little better (something more unique-homemade). It had all the typical-easy stuff we got at every other hotel we stayed in Europe. Then it would have the charm of a bed and breakfast rather then an old hotel lacking updates. The towels in the bathroom were horrible--they are like drying off with bedsheets.
The hotel is very clean and comfortable and the staff is extremely kind and helpful. The location is perfect, close to the Duomo, making it easy to explore Florence on foot. There's free wi-fi and breakfast is very good.I would certainly stay there again.
We really enjoyed the friendly staff and the breakfast was wonderful!
The bath could use a shower curtain.
